Logistics and GUI
Sided slots (hopper rules)
Machines follow the vanilla furnace convention:
- Top face: main inputs
- Horizontal faces: secondary inputs (fuel, buckets, bottles)
- Bottom face: outputs only
Hoppers feed the right slots automatically and can only extract finished products. Slots also filter items: a biogas generator's slot rejects anything that is not compostable, the apiary's bottle slot only takes glass bottles, and so on.
Auto-eject
Every producing machine has an eject toggle (the arrow button at the top right of its GUI, green when on). While on, the machine pushes its outputs once a second into any adjacent inventory: chests, hoppers, other Power Farm machines, Tech Reborn storage, anything using the standard item APIs.
Machine-to-machine ejection enables direct chains, like a Harvester feeding its overflow straight into a Biogas Generator next to it.
Side configuration
The IO button (top right) opens a popup where each of the six faces cycles through:
- Default (gray): the hopper rules above
- Input (blue): accepts all insertable slots
- Output (orange): exposes outputs, and becomes an exclusive eject target
- Sealed (dark): nothing in or out
If any face is set to Output, auto-eject only pushes through those faces. That gives precise routing: eject into the chest behind, never into the machine beside. Click the X or press Escape to close the popup. Side configuration affects items only, not energy or fluids.
GUI conventions
- Red bar (left): stored energy. Hover for exact numbers.
- Blue bar: water. Orange bar: lava fuel. Green bar (right): banked XP, click to collect.
- Empty special slots show a hint tooltip explaining what belongs there.
- Chests directly under machines can be opened normally; machines do not block them.
