Energy Networks
Energy is measured in E (Team Reborn Energy units), the Fabric tech standard, balanced to Tech Reborn's scale.
How power flows
- Generators push energy every tick to everything connected through Copper Cables.
- Machines conduct too. Power Farm machines pass energy to machines they touch, so a tower of machines needs one cable to any block in it, or none if it touches a generator.
- Other mods' machines receive at the edge of the network but do not conduct through.
- Energy splits evenly among machines that can accept it.
- One network reaches up to 256 conduits (cables plus machines) from each generator.
- Side configuration (Sealed faces) affects items only, never energy.
Generators
| Generator | Output | Fuel |
|---|---|---|
| Steam Generator | 10 E/tick | any furnace fuel plus water, or piped lava |
| Biogas Generator | 5 E/tick | anything compostable |
Tech Reborn generators (solar, wind, diesel, and the rest) also power Power Farm machines directly.
Consumption
| Machine | Cost |
|---|---|
| Electric Furnace | 4 E/tick while smelting |
| Harvester | 100 E per crop |
| Ranch Station | 50 E per action |
| Electro-Apiary | 100 E per hive |
| Grow Lamp | 2 E/tick plus 40 E per boost |
| Lumber Station | 20 E per log, 2 E per leaf, 10 E per planting |
| Sprinkler | none (water only) |
All machines buffer 2,000 E and accept up to 32 E/tick (the Charging Station buffers 20,000 E so it can charge tools in fast bursts). Generators buffer 10,000 E and push up to 32 E/tick.
Sizing a farm
One Steam Generator sustains a furnace, a lamp, and intermittent harvester and ranch work. A fully automated farm wants two generators, or one plus a Biogas Generator eating the harvest overflow.
