FAQ

My machine has no power. Check the chain: a generator must be burning (lit front), connected by cables or by touching machines, and within 256 conduits. Hover the red bar in the machine GUI to see if any energy arrives.

The steam generator is full of fuel but makes nothing. It also needs water. Fill the tank by bucket, bucket slot, or pipe.

My sprinkler will not place. It hangs from the ceiling: there must be a solid block or fluid pipe directly above it. It drops as an item if that support is removed.

Why doesn't the sprinkler need power? By design. It runs on water pressure alone. Pipe water to it and it runs forever.

The pump is not lit. It needs water (or lava) source blocks on at least two of its four horizontal sides, at its own height.

Water will not flow into my lava line (or the reverse). Pipes are claimed by the first fluid that flows through them and block the other. Claimed lines will not even connect to each other. Right-click a pipe with an empty hand to flush its claim.

The harvester stopped harvesting. Its nine output slots are probably full. Empty them, or enable eject with a chest next to or under it.

The ranch station stopped shearing my sheep. Same reason: it only shears when a free output slot exists. Milk buckets do not stack and fill slots quickly, so dairy ranches want eject plus a chest.

Will the Lumber Station eat my log cabin? No. It only fells structures with natural leaves attached. Player-placed leaves do not count.

The Lumber Station is not replanting. Make sure its sapling slot has saplings (it refills itself from felled canopies) and that there is valid soil in the 11x11 with 2 blocks of space around each spot.

How do I recharge the Electric Weed Whacker and Electric Hoe? Put them in a Charging Station. They cannot be charged by right-clicking machines, and they drain in creative mode too. A dry tool shows "Out of energy" above the hotbar.

How do I get the XP out of the harvester and ranch? Click the green bar in the GUI. It pays directly into your experience.

Does it work with Tech Reborn / Farmers Delight? Yes, both, automatically. See Compatibility. Neither is required.

Can I open a chest under a machine? Yes. Machines are built not to block chests.

A cable or pipe seems unclickable. They have padded hitboxes and should be easy to hit. If a specific spot misbehaves, break an adjacent block and hit it from another angle, and please report it.
